THE SMALL STONE HOUSE
Sunrise Serenades & Stone-Built Serenity
Perched on our upper terrace, The Small Stone House is a private sanctuary designed for those who seek to reconnect with nature. Built by master Tinian stonemasons using ancient techniques and rocks gathered directly from our land, this home feels like a natural extension of the island itself.
Wake up in a handcrafted double bed to the glow of the Aegean sunrise streaming through your window. Spend your afternoons on one of two private verandas, where the only sounds are the rustle of the terraced landscape and the distant sea. Whether you are preparing a local feast in your sun-drenched, fully equipped gas kitchen or lounging on the garden sofas as the mountain shadows lengthen, the atmosphere is one of pure, warm comfort.
This isn’t just a stay; it’s a slow-living experience you’ve curated yourself.

Guest Access
There is a vegetable and herb garden as well as a Greenhouse where we cultivate totally organic and produce all seasonal vegetables and herbs which the guest has access to at a special price and there is a communal barbeque and outside kitchen area which is shared between the two houses.
There is a communal washing machine in the Utility room next to the houses which is also for the guests to use.
Getting around
Around the plot there are beautiful nature trails through the terraces that lead down to the beaches or up to the mountains. The nearest village with shops and restaurants is Steni 2km away, where there is also public transport to and from Tinos. In general if you want to explore the island a car is essential. Public transport is not so good with only a few buses to limited destinations. Tinos is a big island (200 square kilometers), more than 100 villages and lots of nice beaches to visit, so renting a car is worthwhile. Some rental companies from which you can rent online are Dimitris rent a car and Vidalis rent a car.
The Neighborhood
The area is a unique forested area with oak trees, by a stream with big platanus and a lot of vegetation, very unusual for Tinos and the Cyclades in general. It is surrounded by rural terraced land with olive trees, lemon trees and other fruit trees, small stone stables for the sheep and pigs, pigeon houses and small churches. Its totally unspoiled and pure. The plot orientation is East so the sun rises directly from the sea! There are two beautiful beaches only 2km away, Santa Margarita and Lychnaftia, a 20 minute walk downhill.
